Ko wai mātou

Pepeha Play is a Māori entertainment company creating immersive play experiences across Aotearoa that bring te reo Māori, mātauranga Māori and ancestral knowledge to life.

Our kaupapa is grounded in the belief that when tamariki and whānau are surrounded by their language, culture and stories, identity is strengthened and mātauranga lives on.

He Māori kai pakiaka, he tuakiri ora.
Indigeneity thriving. Knowledge living. Identities strengthened.

Through play, we create an almost unconscious layer of learning that helps whānau connect with who they are, where they come from, and the knowledge passed down through generations. That is the whakaaro behind the name Pepeha Play.
